The motion of skiing is unique, offering significant upper body and core exercise while also engaging the lower body. As well as giving you a great workout, the SkiErg works the glutes, hamstrings, triceps, lats and shoulders in a way that other cardio workouts can’t.
"The SkiErg is an essential tool for my training and a great way to follow my development over time. My favorite workout is an hour of continuous work where every five minutes starts with 15 seconds of maximum effort. On the monitor I mainly keep an eye on the watts and aim to get a number as high as possible."
Moa Ilar, Swedish National Cross-Country Ski Team
Whatever your goal, the PM5 is your loyal training partner, allowing you to track your progress with time, distance, pace, Calories and watts. Standard on every SkiErg, the monitor self-calibrates, allowing you to compare each pull, interval and workout, while the Concept2 Online Logbook allows you to easily store all your times, as well as compare yourself against other skiers worldwide in our world rankings.
This well-built machine is designed to build your muscles and cardiovascular capacity. Manufactured with athletes in mind, the Concept2 SkiErg has an intuitive design, easy-to-use monitor, and small footprint that make it a sound investment for people all across the fitness spectrum.

ErgData is our free app for iOS and Android devices that connects to the Performance Monitor. You can choose to erg together with other members of the community on the Real Time Loop, our virtual course that is always open. You can set up workouts straight from ErgData and store them as favorites; take part in the Concept2 Workout of the Day; view additional live information during workouts; track and analyze your progress and more.
With our open-platform monitor you have plenty of apps to choose from, in addition to ErgData. These apps offer a range of features and functions, including live and on-demand classes, virtual racing, training programs and more.
"I just wanted to let you know how much I love the Real Time Loop! I've rowed on the loop three times now in the past couple of days and it's so much fun. I look forward to more people learning about it and joining in."
The SkiErg provides a low impact exercise that is easy on the knees and ankles. It easily accommodates athletes with lower leg injuries: injured athletes can sit or kneel, while training at normal intensity and duration using just the upper body and core. It's a great training tool for adaptive athletes, too, and we offer an extra wide floor stand to suit most wheelchair users.
Our machines are famous for their construction quality. Built to withstand rigorous use in gyms and homes around the world, we also make sure our machines are easy to care for so you can focus on using your investment, not maintaining it.
Whenever you use a Concept2 SkiErg, you become part of our global community, and there’s plenty of ways to join in. The Real Time Loop in ErgData allows you to jump on a virtual course at any time and workout alongside other people. You can choose to track your workouts in our free Online Logbook, join a motivational challenge, work towards one of our distance award programs, or try our workout of the day. Our forum and social media communities are full of people who can offer inspiration and help.
The SkiErg can be wall-mounted giving it a very small footprint or you can add the floor stand (sold separately) with caster wheels for maximum movability. The floor stand is available in two widths, making it suitable for all users.
We made our first rowing machine back in 1981 as a winter training device for rowers. Since then, our machine has given rise to the sport of indoor rowing and its use has grown to include everyone from Olympians to CrossFitters to people just wanting a great workout.
Since that first rowing machine, we continue to refine and improve on our design so that we build the best rowing machine we can
